What do we like best about The White Mountains?
The obvious first answer is the climate. 25-30 degrees cooler than Phoenix in the Summer, majestic snow in the winter, and proper Fall foliage with the aspens, oaks, and other deciduous trees.
The second is how the wildlife will take your breath away. If you are out in the woods at dusk you might see large packs of elk, pronghorn, mule deer, turkeys, wolves, and big horn sheep. There's a reason this is the best hunting land in AZ!
Finally, we came for nature, but stayed for the food. For such small towns, Pinetop, Show Low, Pine, Greer, and Alpine are all cute little mountain towns with sneaky good restaurants, bars, breweries and coffee shops. Asks us for recs while your staying in town!
